Throughout your Lakshmi Rising YTT immersion, you’ll practice in sunlit yoga spaces, study in cozy indoor lounges, and share delicious Gaia Gourmet meals on the terrace. Between sessions, unwind by the saltwater infinity pool, nap on a Bali bed, or enjoy quiet reflection in the peaceful gardens. Certification
Students who complete Lakshmi Rising’s 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®).
Lakshmi Rising 200-hour YTT is the foundational program for an in-depth study of yoga. You will graduate from this program as a certified yoga instructor eligible to join the Yoga Alliance as an RYT200, and also as a healthier, more balanced, aware, and confident person.
Lakshmi Rising’s 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training is for you if you want to:
- Get certified to teach yoga professionally
- Dive deep into the practice, philosophy, and lifestyle of yoga for personal development & enrichment
- Learn safe and correct alignment of yoga postures for your own practice and to teach to others
- Understand how to create, sequence, and guide yoga classes with skill and confidence

Many of our students have been practicing for years and now feel called to teach, while others are new to yoga and want to cultivate a strong foundation by learning important aspects often overlooked in standard classes. Some, like you, are taking the 200-hour training for the first time, while others have already completed a foundational course and are participating in our advanced 300-hour program, which runs concurrently.
Each Lakshmi Rising Yoga Teacher Training hosts up to 20 participants, including a mix of 200- and 300-hour students. This intimate group size ensures you receive personalized instruction, hands-on guidance, and meaningful connections throughout the training experience. The students are diverse in age, background, and experience. Most participants are between their 20s and 60s, and most identify as women, but all are welcome!
There are no formal prerequisites for our 200-hour YTT beyond a sincere interest in yoga and personal growth and a conversational level of English. You do not need an athletic or advanced physical practice, nor experience with meditation, anatomy, or philosophy. All we ask is that you come with an open heart, a curious mind, and a willingness to learn!

Liz Lindh
Dr. Elizabeth Lindh is the Founder and Program Director of Lakshmi Rising Yoga & Wellness, an international platform for transformational yoga education, wellness, travel, and conscious community. As the lead facilitator of Yoga Alliance-accredited teacher trainings, Liz has developed a rigorous, multidisciplinary certification program that has empowered over 1,200 students from nearly 50 countries to become yoga instructors. Her signature 200 and 300-hour trainings held in Costa Rica, France, Spain, Italy, and, beginning in 2026, Portugal.

While it offers the privacy and serenity you crave on a YTT retreat, our 3-acre (12,000 sqm) gated estate is perfectly situated to balance seclusion with accessibility. Faro International Airport (FAO) is the closest airport, though you may find international flights into Lisbon (LIS) more convenient or affordable. If you plan to arrive via Lisbon (Lisboa), take the train or FlixBus service from Lisboa to Loule or Faro (3-4 hours).

Our venue is an easy 25-minute taxi ride from Faro International Airport and 15 minutes from the Loule train station. Uber is also readily available.

- A reservation requires a deposit of 20% of the total price.
- The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
