The 200-hour multi-style teacher training is a 25-day educational course for practitioners who feel that the time has come to embark on a career as a yoga instructor. The training is very thorough, beginning in the early morning and continuing until sunset, covering the vast array of the practical and theoretical aspects of yoga (pranayama, asanas, meditation, anatomy, alignment, and philosophy).
One receives knowledge of Hatha, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Yin, and Vinyasa yoga with the well-crafted course. This includes the theoretical and practical aspects of asanas, pranayama, philosophy, Mudras and Bandhas, Kriyas, adjustments, alignments, anatomy, and meditation.

Generally, there is no prior experience or qualification needed in order to join the 100, 200, 500, and intensive Maa Shakti Yog courses. Those courses will introduce you to the philosophical and practical aspects of yoga regardless if you’re a complete beginner or a long-time practitioner. However, they do recommend students get basic yoga knowledge prior to starting the training.
You can take up a course at a local school to get attuned to yoga terminology and basic asanas. This will help you to pick up the more rigorous asanas of RYT 200 hours and the other activities of your daily schedule comfortably.
Flexibility is not a prerequisite to learning yoga. The patient teachers will work with you according to your individual bone and muscle structure and will help you to stretch tight muscles and strengthen muscles that are weak. Yoga is a vast subject with many traditions and styles. During the courses, you will look at all the key pillars of this ancient art.

Asana is a Sanskrit word that means, "yogic postures or movements." Traditionally defined, asana means "comfortable seat", which means, it is a seated posture used in meditation.
Pranayama, also known as breathing exercise is the foundation of yoga practice. "Prana" means breath and "Ayama" means to control; on combined, "Pranayama" means "to control or hold the breath."

Anatomy deals with the bodily structure of an individual and how to protect from injuries. In the yoga teacher training classes, they conduct the theoretical class of anatomy too.
The yoga teacher training courses focus on body alignments, which means doing poses or asanas in an effortless state of body, according to the body composition of an individual. Alignments are very significant to understand any style of yoga practice.
Philosophy here means yoga philosophy which includes the systemic study of the body, mind, and spirit of an individual.
Yoga Mudras means "gesture" that facilitates the flow of energy in the body of an individual. Treating under the heading of Yoga Mudras, Bandhas is body locks in yoga.

The course schedule runs from Monday to Saturday afternoon. On Saturday, the classes run for half the day and there will be no classes on Sundays.
