What is Mukta Tantra Yoga?

Mukta Kundalini Tantra Yoga is the Inner Yoga of Ancient India, the Yoga of Awareness & Presence to awaken the Kundalini shakti. Its unique philosophy differs from all Hatha Yoga schools, Neo Western Tantra or Western Kundalini Yoga and is the only philosophy in the world that is not male chauvinistic and doesn’t discriminate between any nationality, class, color, gender, sexual orientation and religion. It has evolved very differently in a non-dualistic environment and passed orally from generations to generations in a practical way.

Mukta Kundalini Tantra Yoga courses in India supports others to see directly in their own light beyond all dependency on systems, fake gurus, cultures, traditions, bookish knowledge and self-claimed scholars. Traditions are there to be used and not to get used or obsessed by them.

"True spirituality is not conforming to any spiritual or worldly pattern, rather getting rid of all patterns is true spirituality." - Mukta

These courses are only for those who are not looking to convert themselves from one belief system to another. This is not a spiritual romantic escape or an academic trap to get lost in translations, but a key to dissolve self-inflicted sorrow and to celebrate our uniqueness beyond all comparisons.

Mukta Kundalini Tantra Yoga courses in India also empowers individuals to connect with their inner divinity. Through this practice, we can unlock the power of love, end suffering, and achieve a joyful, blissful existence. By breaking free from societal constraints, we can embrace a multi-dimensional way of living that accepts all without fear and guilt.

A healthy doubting, skeptical and critical mind is a free mind because it doesn’t want to follow or obey blindly. A healthy loving mind that is inquiring into his own patterns and conditionings and taking full responsibility without playing blaming games.

Mukta Kundalini Tantra Yoga supports self-awareness born out of direct observation. Awareness makes us present to face daily life as it comes and responding with the fresh intelligence of the moment. Love and awareness is synonymous in Tantra yoga.

Following Tantra is not a goal, rather understanding oneself is true Tantra. Traditional Tantra yoga reflects the experience of Asiatic Mystics who have expressed their true freedom. It can become just an inspiration to taste our own freedom.

Mukta Kundalini Tantra Yoga is the path to unlock inner potential and awaken true spiritual essence.

Through the awakening of Kundalini Shakti and activating the Chakras, you will experience a deep connection with your true self and a transformative spiritual journey. This is a golden opportunity to liberate your entangled energies from old patterns, traumas, hangovers of the past and discover your true purpose in life. This life-changing path helps to unlock the hidden potential within.

It harmonizes our masculine and feminine energies, leading to inner balance and unity. Surrendering the ego, we transcend material illusions and access a higher consciousness beyond intellectual knowledge.

Mukta Tantra Yoga's Kundalini Tantra Yoga courses in India take a holistic approach that encourages questioning personal beliefs, practices, and thought processes. They empower individuals to challenge their own limitations and breakthrough old patterns, traumas, and negative emotions, allowing the bliss of life to flow eternally. With the awakening of intelligence, confidence, creativity, and freedom, individuals can embrace a multi-dimensional way of living that accepts all without judgment.

Mukta Tantra Yoga is the Essence of Asiatic Tantric Mysticism, a direct approach to ultimate freedom and Joy. It is a Traditional Kundalini Tantra Yoga of Tantric Asanas, Kundalini, Tantric Chakras, Tantric Mantras, Tantric Meditations, Tantric philosophy, Tantric Breath, Bandhas, Prana, Sounds, Vibrations, Light, Prana, Tantric Elements, Energies, Soma and Recognition.

How it helps to awaken the Kundalini and Chakras?

Tantra is a Eastern philosophy and scientific technology to awaken the Kundalini through activating the Chakras and Prana. The practice of Tantra provides systematic knowledge that builds awareness on all levels, which is essential for the awakening of Kundalini. As Kundalini awakens, it destroys all the karmas, patterns, traumas, enabling individuals to live in communion with life in the moment blissfully. Traditional Tantra deals directly with the Kundalini Shakti and helps to prepare the seekers to understand the psychology of Chakras, energies, mind, feelings, and its connection to reality.

Practice

Mukta Tantra Yoga is not only about learning physical asanas and their alignment. Rather it is all about one’s presence and awareness at the moment, it does not matter what you are doing. Awareness is true alignment and is not based on following any system, guru, or searching for something in the future, but rather on opening up all the senses to manifest life as it comes at the moment beyond all self-limitations. It includes all aspects of life in order to meet the challenges of daily hectic life.

Mukta Tantra Yoga is authentically using traditional Kundalini Tantra yoga of Tantric asanas, Kundalini, chakras, mantras, Tantric meditations, Tantric breath, bandhas, prana, dance, self-inquiry, sounds, vibrations, light, prana, elements, energies, soma, and recognition to remain present at the moment and reflect your true nature without the interference of a conditioned mind. You are using your body, mind, and senses to express your true freedom (or pure consciousness) and to unlock the bliss of life, which is also called Kundalini Shakti in Tantra.

To understand and free these energies, you use practical philosophy inspired by traditional Kundalini Tantra yoga and Kashmir Shaivism (also knowns as Himalayan Tantra, Agama, Trika, etc.) and from Mukta’s father and various mystics as well as his life experiences. Mukta Tantra Yoga embodies the essence of different yoga types such as Trika yoga, Shiva yoga, Shakti yoga, Quantum Yoga, Prana yoga, Tantric Yin Yoga, Yin Yang yoga, Uchhara yoga, Tattva yoga, Soma yoga, and consciousness yoga.

In Mukta Tantra Yoga, they use Eastern wisdom and tradition to modify the quantum of your life, which is the nature and behavior of matter and energy on the atomic level, to manifest your essential nature in daily life. Quantum physics and neuroscience are realizing many facts that have been experienced and documented by Tantric mystics thousands of years back. According to Indian mysticism, you have the brain, you are not the brain, therefore, you can reformat your brain according to your true nature.

Discipline & Awareness for a Successful Training

To make the best out of the training, here are the important points and guidelines to read very carefully and to follow from your heart and mind.

Visiting India can be a big cultural change for some. It's a country that can feel chaotic and different, with imperfections. There may be mosquitoes, noise, dust, cockroaches, and neighbors burning leaves, among other things. If you expect everything to be perfect like it is in the West, it won't be possible. Embracing a place, its culture, and the situations as they are, with their inherent differences, is crucial. It might take a few days to adjust, so Mukta Tantra Yoga recommend taking rest and finding inner calm. Otherwise, unnecessary irritation, judgment, and comparisons can disrupt the harmony within yourself and the group, diverting the teachers' attention from providing quality teachings. They'll do their best to make you feel at home, but there are some things they can't control.

Please understand that Mukta Tantra Yoga are also a human being and not perfect. It might be difficult to understand for people from the West, where life is more organized and structured. In Asia, emotions and feelings play a bigger role, and things can be more abstract. That's why in Indian Mysticism, Mukta Tantra Yoga practice involves letting go and acceptance. The key is to have a feminine approach of acceptance.

  • Mukta Tantra Yoga teaches the essence of Traditional Kundalini Tantra Yoga, and does not focus on a particular school or thought, or recommend or refer to any particular book or guru, but rather directly focuses on the essence of Eastern Wisdom and oneself. It is based on direct self-inquiry, and Mukta will try his best to trigger the process within you.
  • Tantra Yoga is all about practicing the methods given by Shiva and awareness beyond the limited self. If you are not able to practice and only want to intellectualize, then it will be difficult to expand one’s consciousness. The training is to go beyond intellectual knowledge and to let go of all the superficial knowledge gathered from books and experience. Right doubting and inquiring into oneself (and not the others) is the key technique to penetrate the self and bring transformation in our lives.
  • This training is not just about Mukta Tantra Yoga; it is all about you and the awakening of your intelligence beyond all historical and traditional conditioning. Mukta is just a facilitator, so you can work on yourself with all possible support without any dependency or projecting a self-created image on him.
  • Mukta Tantra Yoga is a mystery school where things move mysteriously. Mind and ego will not be able to grab it, so please take it easy and if you allow the mystery, you will fall naturally into deep harmony and silence.
  • If you are a yoga teacher or coach who has studied different approaches from various schools, it is essential to understand that Mukta Tantra Yoga do not teach according to any particular style. Mukta Tantra teachings are rooted in their understanding of Indian Mysticism. This may pose a challenge for some individuals who have already accumulated a significant amount of knowledge, as the mind tends to compare and validate existing knowledge rather than approaching it with the receptiveness of a child. If you find that what you have learned so far is not producing the desired results, it is important to approach new teachings with an open mind, free from internal conflicts. However, if you believe that you already possess comprehensive knowledge and have attained freedom and awakening, then it is best for you to embrace your true nature, and this course may not align with your needs.
  • During the training, Mukta Tantra Yoga provides techniques and tools so each individual can learn to deal with their issues, dramas and traumas by themselves and heal, but they cannot do the work for you, as it is your responsibility to do the inner work. Also, they can’t guarantee to fulfil your happiness and satisfy you on all levels. Mukta Tantra Yoga can only inspire you to use all the energy of your heart, mind, and body to go deep without any escape and let go of what you don’t want, and understand and integrate the way of tantric wisdom. This training is to provide the tools to end any emotional slavery, and the purpose of Mukta Tantra Yoga is to guide us towards this independence, where saviors and gurus are not needed anymore.
  • The training is designed with the best intentions towards supporting your potential to grow using the understanding of Asian practical Wisdom. Therefore, it is not designed according to the likes and dislikes of the students or teachers. Seeing things as they are beyond our personal likes and dislikes is the key point of the Training.
  • The training is designed with the awareness that it could challenge you psychologically and emotionally to shake your personal beliefs to see without any dependency.  To blossom fully, a seed has to go through an alchemical breakthrough. On the journey to consciousness, it is important to learn how to take full responsibility for your emotionality, nervousness and irritation caused by inner and outer situations and not to throw negative mood swings and patterns on anyone, as all are going through transformation. In the course, you have the chance to be aware of all sorts of negative and spinning reactions without identification and use your own awareness and tools provided by Mukta Tantra Yoga to calm down as soon as possible, as it is just a temporary mood and it will pass by itself if you don’t intellectualize or feed it with your older self. It is everybody’s responsibility in the group to keep the harmony, not spin more, nor make other students spin with you, and also to not support or take other people’s suffering, negativity and spinning on yourself. Please allow the suffering person to go through it and work on it himself by himself, not trying to be a savior through fake sympathy, but rather give the space for this person to learn to deal with it him/herself. We are all human beings, things happen, just move on without taking things personally.
  • If you have any mental disorder, violent or reactive behavior, addiction, traumas and deep suffering, please make sure to inform us now in the application form, and please remember you will have to be even more aware of your reactions and take full responsibility to work on it, and not disturb the group harmony by throwing your sufferings or negativity on others.
  • During Philosophy classes, to use energy rightly and productively and because you are doing intense self-inquiry, please remain aware that it is not a debate, discussion or giving opinion to agree or disagree rather seeing facts as facts according to Indian Mysticism beyond our small box. It is an inquiry into oneself, not into anything else. Please don’t waste energy reacting, but rather use your time to find out about yourself.
  • Outside the classes, please use your time rightly so you have enough rest to recover your brain and body so you can use it during the classes.
  • Please take care of your health and well-being, be careful where and what you eat, and use your sensitivity and common sense to not injure yourself during and outside the classes. Mukta Tantra Yoga will not be held responsible for any injuries or other medical issues and advises you to have your own liability and health insurance. However, if you need medical assistance, they will do their best to suggest a doctor and support you.
  • If you have any mental and/or physical conditions, please consult with your doctor before applying, and strictly inform Mukta Tantra Yoga about it the application form.
  • If, for some physical reasons, you cannot do the asana(s), please stand or sit silently with your eyes closed, and please don’t disturb the other students by making any kind of noise.
  • If, for some reason, you cannot attend a class, please strictly inform us in advance or directly as you reach the class. No excuse will be justified unless you are sick; then please provide bills from the doctor, clinic, pharmacy, or any other proof to justify your absence.
  • You hereby agree to release and waive any claim and liability for any loss, any physical, psychological or psychiatric injury, any damage of any kind against Mukta Tantra Yoga.
  • Mukta Tantra Yoga strongly recommend students not to have any online work/obligation on the side of the course, as it is intense and requires your full attention and commitment to make the best out of it.
  • During classes and ceremonies, Mukta Tantra Yoga may capture videos and photographs to share on social media. This serves as valuable support, allowing others to get a glimpse of the course and be inspired to join, just as you did. If you prefer not to be included in these media materials, please inform them in advance.
  • Rooms are assigned based on your booking and cannot be changed upon arrival. If, for personal reasons, you decide to check out of your room before the course ends, please note that there will be no refund for the accommodation.
  • If you quit the teacher training course before the end for your personal reasons, there will be no certificate or refund given and you will have to check out of your room and leave the premises on that day immediately. Please note that it will not be possible to continue another TTC later to finish the course.
  • If you don’t come to the training for more than 2 days consecutively without telling us, for your personal reasons, then you will have to leave the training permanently and your room, and there will be no refund as you are not part of the training anymore and it could disturb the whole flow.
  • Students who misbehave towards other students or teachers, disturb the harmony of the training,  and break the discipline of terms & conditions will be expelled from the course and the Retreat Centre immediately and without any refund or explanation. Location

The retreat center in Agonda, South Goa is located just a 200m away from the tropical beach, surrounded by nature, coconut trees, birds, lively neighborhood, and only few minutes' walk to the "main road" of Agonda village. Onsite the guesthouse, you will find simplistic/basic private bedrooms with attached bathroom and our open roof top yogashala with amazing nature and sea view.

South Goa is safe and abundant in natural beauty where seekers can experience their true self and grow in peace and harmony. Mother nature helps to heal and rejuvenate faster as we are part of it.

Food

Voluntarily, we have decreased the prices so they don't include food, allowing you the freedom to eat meals based on your preferences and budget. Everyone has unique dietary tastes, needs, and restrictions like vegan, gluten-free, allergies, or spice-free. It's hard to cater to everyone's tastes while maintaining quality. Hence, this way is more comfortable as Agonda offers affordable food options with numerous restaurants and grocery stores just nearby the yoga shala/rooms.

For those planning to have three meals outside, we suggest budgeting a minimum of 1,200 INR per day (approximately 13/14 Euros). Keep in mind that this is a general estimate, and actual expenses may vary based on your specific dietary choices. If you are looking to manage costs effectively, consider booking a Large room, as most of them come equipped with a kitchenette and a fridge, allowing for basic cooking facilities. This option provides an additional level of flexibility for those on a budget.

How to get there

Arrival by airplane

The easiest way to reach Goa is to fly to the well-connected Dabolim airport (GOI) or Manohar International Airport (GOX) as travelling by train or bus in India can be exhausting, especially for those coming to India for the first time.

Dabolim International Airport is the closest airport to Agonda (approx. 60km). It is well-connected by daily domestic flights mainly from Chennai, Mumbai, New Delhi, Hyderabad, Cochin and Bangalore and also international flights mainly from London, Dubai, Muscat and Doha. Click here for more details about flights to Dabolim.

Manohar International Airport is a new airport located further north of Goa and approximatively 110 km from Agonda, also offering well-connected domestic and international flights.

As you reach the airport, Mukta Tantra Yoga can organize a taxi pick-up for you. You will just have to look for your name on a board at the Exit Gate. If you arrive at Dabolim Airport, the cost is 35 EUR, payable upon arrival with your remaining payment. Alternatively, if you land at Manohar Airport, the pick-up cost is 60 EUR. To book your taxi, please inform Mukta Tantra Yoga in advance via email.

Book a taxi at the arrival gate. There are a couple of official taxi counters as you just pass the security, located before the exit gate. They will assign you a taxi driver for a fixed amount to pay by cash directly to the driver when you reach your final destination. Have some local currency with you (Indian Rupees). Currency exchange booths can be found in Arrivals Hall, as well as ATM inside and outside the Terminal building.

Arrival by train / bus

If you reach via train or bus to Margao (Madgaon) or Chaudi (Canacona), Mukta Tantra Yog can organize a taxi pick-up and drop-off for you.

Mukta Tantra Yoga suggests / recommends their students to arrive 1 or 2 days earlier if your schedule allows, to acclimate yourself and rest from the travel / jet lag to start with fresh energy on Sunday afternoon as the training is intense.

Other ways to travel to Agonda:

  • By train from Mumbai
  • By bus from Mumbai
  • By train from New Delhi
