During this advanced yoga teacher training, you will stay in the ashram atmosphere. The ashram of the Institute is structured to accommodate 24 students at a time. It allows the students to practice with the feel of vastness. There are 18 student rooms, all single occupancy with attached bathrooms and western closets. The rooms are vast and built with South Indian bricks, which keep the temperature calm and comfortable for practice and relaxation, with hot water available. The internet is accessible through Wi-Fi. Samyak Yoga has a high-speed internet facility available in the entire ashram. Every floor has a Wi-Fi router, which enables the students to access the internet easily. You can bring along the phones, tablets, and laptops.
There are no systems or devices available in the ashram for the use of the students, and hence, if you need to browse or Skype, they recommend bringing systems such as laptops, phones, or tablets along. However, the internet facility is not allowed in the yoga shala as it distracts the focus from the learning process. A yoga ashram is a place wherein the practice, teaching, and discussions related to yoga take place; it is not a religious place. Samyak Yoga Ashram is established explicitly for the yoga teacher training programs, and the entire team is completely committed to it. You cannot stay as long as you want in Samyak Yoga ashram, as it is a yoga destination wherein yoga teacher training courses are taught most often every month.
Laundry
It is possible to get your clothes washed and ironed with one of their staff members doing laundry. A nominal charge per piece is charged. The institute requests you minimize the use of chemical soaps, washing powders, and shampoos in the bathrooms, as they are keeping the land free from all chemicals.
Small shop
You can buy the required stuff, such as washing powder, pens, toothbrushes, and other necessities for your daily life, from the store in the office. The brands of the products may vary. Hence, if you are particular about a specific brand, bring it along.
Program
Prerequisites
- Completion of a 200-hour yoga teacher training course (from any good school): Samyak Yoga might ask you for more details about your training if needed so you must have a good foundation in the 200-hour training
- You are able to stay longer than one minute in the following asanas: Adhomukha Shvanasana (downward-facing dog), Kakasana (crow pose), Urdhva Dhanurasana (upward bow pose), Sarvangasana (shoulderstand pose), Shirshasana (headstand pose)
- A regular practice of pranayamas: Nadishuddhi Pranayama - you must have been practising the 10:5:10:5 ratio (minimum)
Certification
Students who complete the training are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®). If your knowledge is inadequate to become a yoga teacher, you might not receive the certification. You might not receive the certification if you miss more than three sessions (not three days) during the training. In this case, you will get the participation certificate, not the teacher training certificate. You will have time to rework and complete the assignments to receive the 'Yoga Teacher Certification.'
About the training
Syllabus
1. Hatha yoga
Traditional Hatha yoga practices make your fundamentals strong and help you in exploring traditional Hatha yoga practice methods.
2. Vinyasa yoga
You will be working on practicing and building creative Vinyasa yoga sequences, starting from beginner to advanced levels, and completely modified Vinyasa yoga classes for different needs.
These Vinyasa yoga classes are practiced so that you will get different ideas in creating Vinyasa yoga for different levels of students.
3. Yin yoga
In a world where asana practice is increasingly becoming body-oriented, Yin yoga is of great help in exploring emotions and bringing psychological transformation. Yin yoga can be magical if you know how to teach it.

200-hour yoga teacher training brings an introduction to the chanting of mantras. If you can analyze the students' practice based on their body types, it would be a great support to your students from your end.
7. Yoga Darshana studies
You must have learnt about the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, Pancha Koshas, Chakras, and Nadis during your 200-hour yoga teacher training. During the 300-hour yoga teacher training, you would explore some really significant aspects of Yoga Darshana.

Yogic Indian food is served during the yoga teacher training, which is suitable for the yoga practice of the students and also helps detoxify the body for yogic practices. Besides nutritional value, Samyak Yoga loves to give a culinary taste of India. They do not offer meat, fish, and eggs, which are stimulating and lethargic for yogic practices. The yogic food is seasoned with mild spices, which are part of the Ayurvedic diet. All food is prepared with filtered water in their clean and spacious kitchen, where they give utmost importance to the hygiene of all the food items and cooks.
They are hoping to grow all food in their yoga eco-farm eventually; until then, they buy the food from local farmers, which is grown seasonally. Students with a preference for vegan and gluten-free diets can comfortably manage here. You will have brown bread, muesli, and cornflakes with fruit for breakfast. Lunch and dinner include salads, vegetables, lentils, beans, rice, wheat items, soups, and desserts on occasion. They design the menu to calm down the body-mind while you are going through detoxification during the intensive practice or course, which generates a lot more heat in the body and mind, and is beneficial to the intense practice of yoga. All foods are served in buffet style, and you can take as much as you want.
Your food is prepared based on the Ayurvedic concepts such as Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, with the vegetables supplied by the local farmers. Under the guidance of a qualified Ayurvedic doctor and a nutritionist, the food menu is prepared. The menu consists of some of the popular cuisines of India as well as the local cuisine, which no other tourist would have tasted. The premises where the food is taking place is not a restaurant; people cooking the food should be treated with respect. Please be kind and be loving towards people who worked for Samyak Yoga while you focus on your inner growth in the yoga hall. There will be three meals per day.
The main ingredients of the food are a lot of vegetables, nuts, and fresh fruits, so that the food intake goes along with the inner practice you do. The meals are provided three times: breakfast, lunch, and dinner, while there are two tea breaks, during the morning session after the philosophical discussions, and again in the evening.
