Private cabins

Each uniquely decorated and painted with its own style and personality, individual bungalows provide quiet solitude perfect for solo travelers and (in double rooms) voyaging couples, or friends who do not mind sharing a bed. Each cabin is special, with a mix of breathtaking views, and surrounded by gardens.

Private rooms

Tucked under one of the yoga temples, Abuela. Painted by a fairy who brought life and excitement to each room. Sage, the witchy room. Bliss, nestled in a green grove with dancing sunflowers. Mystic, flying high in the clouds. Budita, have a loving Jaguar as your roommate. Single beds or full beds are available. The private rooms allow you to have your own space and still live closely and connect with your neighbors.

Showers and bathrooms

Water is sacred. And so is the majestic lake upon which the farm is built. In order to stay true to its commitment to sustainable living, the farm features a number of beautifully built (and decorated) natural organic compost toilets. By using compost toilets, they save thousands of gallons of water each year and are able to re-purpose their nutrient-rich waste by using it as super-charged fertilizer for the plants around the farm. If you have never used a compost toilet before, do not worry. They will be sure to give you the full run down when you get here. Before you know it, you will never want to go back to flushing toilets.

For showering, they have two solar-powered hot water bathhouses, each equipped with two private shower stalls. Unless it is an unusually cloudy day, it is rare that they run out of hot water. They ask all guests to take short showers and request that you bring only natural, organic, bio-degradable soap, shampoo, or conditioner to use in the shower. Their gray water system filters back into the earth and the runoff eventually makes its way back to the lake.

Non-organic or non-biodegradable soaps contain chemicals that are harmful to the lake, as well as the plants and animals that live in and around it. With your help, they can continue to protect and live in harmony with this beautiful lake. Laundry can be hand washed at the farm with biodegradable detergent, or if you prefer, you can get the boat or truck to town on the days off and drop your laundry at the lavenderia.
