School Yoga Institute is an extended family of yoga teachers and practitioners which offers yoga teacher training courses.
Jed Pennell began his physical yoga practices in 1999 under the tutelage of Sujita Sklenar at Oregon State University. There, he found a path for the radical transformation of the body and a portal to the infinite spirit. He enjoys self-inquiry, nature, surfing, art, laughter, breath, movement, sadhana, and Hatha and Nada yoga. His classes often infuse laughter, play, shamanic wisdom, yogic philosophy, and sutras into organic flow based movements of the spine, body, and breath.
From a very young age, Mindi was singing, dancing, and playing various instruments. As a soulful yoga teacher, Mindi has an uncanny ability to weave her musical gifts of singing and drumming in her yoga classes and enjoys finding new ways to inspire students on their own path of transformation. Listening to the transformational calling of her heart and her special connection to the land, Mindi decided to pursue both her 200-hour and 500-hour teacher training at the Mystical Yoga Farm. Over the course of several years, Mindi has accumulated nearly 1000 hours of training.

After a year abroad in Scotland in 2014, she decided to take her interest in movement and the body a step further and completed a Pilates instructor course in Bern, Switzerland, while finishing her Bachelor’s degree in English literature and art history at the University of Zurich.
Colynn has practiced yoga for over 19 years, and chose to increase her knowledge of yoga by attending a teacher training over five years ago, that coincidently started at the same time her short list to medical school came through. It was apparent to her almost immediately that medical school was not the answer to healthcare burnout, living her passion, supporting people in self-healing and empowering women. Fresh out of yoga teacher training, Colynn was asked to teach the anatomy portion of a YTT and it wasn’t long until medical school and nursing were history.

Katie’s style of teaching is dynamic, breath-focused and comprehensive. She integrates and incorporates her love for sacred ceremony, Yoga philosophy, anatomy and alignment, singing, Kirtan, mantra chanting and freedom of expression into her teachings, practices, private sessions, workshops and retreats. For Katie, Yoga is her Spiritual Practice that goes way beyond the physical.
Annika stumbled into her committed practice in 2016 after finishing a competitive field hockey career looking for physical healing and a new way to move her body. The mat provided Annika with a space to restore many things – especially her physical body and her relationship with herself. In 2019, she completed her 200hr at her local studio and immediately went on co-found an online yoga community called Unity Yoga. Unity Yoga was co-created with her 60 year old better half and fellow YTT graduate to make yoga accessible for all bodies, all ages, and all experience levels.

"BALI YTT 200 HR "
I really enjoyed getting to know new people and all the students coming together to help on another make it through our training. I enjoyed the training towards the end after the instructors came together to make it a “yogic” environment. I enjoyed trying new foods and the Balinese are super sweet and accommodating! The teachers led really amazing meditations and the spiritual lessons were really cool. The ceremonies were life changing and I really enjoyed getting to know myself more!

"Above expectations, inspiring"
Well thought out, yet flexible program with all three facilitators (Krystalyn, Josephine and Michelle) being so well balanced, delivering endless knowledge, experience and love every day. Loved the location at the magic lake Atitlan and the vegan food of course. This YTT enabled us to practice yoga holistically and meet amazing people along the way. A great start of a beautiful journey.

It was the most amazing time, so many things to discover about yourself, about yoga and people. The scedule and content of the classes are perfect, a good balance of theory and practical input, so many interesting and helpful topics are covered. The daily yoga and meditation practice is great. The location is perfect, tucked away in the ricefields but only 15 minutes walking distance to Ubud Center. The accomodation was great, lovely rooms and them ost amazing food. The techers cared a lot and made the experiece very very spechial.
