3D Homestay (2 minutes drive), is a budget ocean view resort with private rooms and shared rooms with two beds. All rooms have AC, balcony, TV, mini fridge, bathroom, towels, toiletries and free Wi-Fi. Some rooms have ocean views.

Naturela Homestay (4 minutes drive) offers cozy stays with an outdoor pool, restaurant, and free WiFi. How the training works

Yoga Practice

Ulu Yoga offers the perfect balance of structured yoga training and life changing experience in paradise.

  • Each morning begins with a two hour guided class of hatha or vinyasa yoga, which includes pranayama and meditation, options for beginner and intermediate levels, hands on adjustments, and a follow up feedback session.
  • 21 day course will explore more advanced poses and include specialized themes like chakra awakening, trauma release, advanced transitions & creative sequencing.
  • One class is held on the beach, giving you a chance to connect with nature and enjoy the gorgeous turquoise waters and limestone cliffs.

Pranayama & Meditation

In Meditation you will learn various techniques including vipassana meditation, mantra meditation, trataka, walking, gratitude, trauma release and yoga nidra.

In Pranayama you will learn Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing), Kapalabhati (skull shining breath), Bhramari (humming bee), Ujjayi (victory breath), Bhastrika (fire breath).

Asana Lab

Each day you will receive detailed instruction on core hatha yoga asanas to build a solid foundation.

  • Learn correct alignment, technique, variations for different levels, and modifications with props.
  • You also learn to connect poses with breath and movement to build creative vinyasa flow sequences.

Each day you will receive a special workshop to deepen your practice and provide you with a dynamic skillset.

  • Acro yoga is a fun challenge, helping you to elevate your sense of balance and engagement, becoming more self aware by connecting with others.
  • Yin yoga, yoga nidra and restorative yoga help you to relieve stress, break up scar tissue, and promote healing through fascia release, as well as letting go of stored trauma.
  • Ashtanga yoga serves as a bridge between hatha and vinyasa yoga by providing a structured set sequence.

Online Studies

  • This course has 30 hours of required online study. After you pay your deposit you will receive access to the complete online course. It’s good to do some online studies in advance to prepare. You can follow the classes in order or skip around and choose what content best serves your needs and interests.
  • You can also do your online studies after the onsite training. Simply watch the videos that were not covered onsite so you are not repeating the same content. However, for most classes the online and onsite instructors are different. It can be greatly beneficial to repeat some lessons to gain deeper insight.
  • The online course has more in depth philosophy and anatomy content, which require additional reading. Whereas the onsite course is naturally more physical, hands on and interactive. If you miss onsite classes you can do more online work as make up. Plus you have 2 years to finish. If you have questions during your online studies there is a chat group where the instructor can advise you.

10 vs 14, 21 and 28 day trainings

  • 10 day focuses on Vinyasa Yoga. 14/21/28 are Multi-style.
  • Online studies: 10 day has 100hr, 14 has 80hr, 21 has 30hr, 28 has 0.
  • 10 day has class everyday. 14/21/28 have half Saturday off and all Sunday off.
  • 10 day has optional afternoon class. 14/21/28 have longer breaks.
  • 28 day, the last week focuses on aerial or yin yoga.
  • 10-14-21-28 day all start together and train together.

Ulu Yoga Style

This course is suitable for both beginners and intermediate practitioners. You don’t need a high level of strength, flexibility or experience. Some people take this course for a fun retreat, some to deepen their personal practice, and others to become a professional yoga instructor.

Bali is a tropical island paradise known as the Island of the Gods. Uluwatu is one of the most beautiful parts of Bali with stunning limestone cliffs, turquoise waters and world famous surfing, hip cafes, beach bars, boutique shops, live music, dance, spas and massage.

In your free time you can visit Uluwatu's amazing beaches, watch the Balinese dance show at Uluwatu temple, go shopping in magical Ubud, swim in waterfalls above the clouds in Munduk, hike 10,000 meters up to Mt. Agung, go snorkeling or diving in Amed, go island hopping in the Gili’s.

Ulu Yoga Training Location

This training takes place at Ulu Yoga's beautiful new ocean view shala, just a few minutes to famous Bingin Beach. The shala features a soft cushion floor, clean new props and air conditioning. Train comfortably any time of year. Easily walk to several resorts. Many great shops and cafes are just 2 min drive.

Online training

There is an online part of the training which is mandatory to get the 200 hours certificate. You will get an access to the online video and the online part can be completed before or after the residential course.

Food

Packages with accommodation include a nourishing vegetarian breakfast on training days, featuring a wide variety of delicious options to suit all dietary needs. For lunch and dinner, you can easily add meals onsite for just $3–5 per dish, or go out and explore the many wonderful cafes nearby in the village or on the beach.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS). You can take a taxi to your accommodation. Or you can order rides via Gojek or Grab. Get a local SIM card at the airport for internet.
