Course information

Yin yoga and Yoga Nidra are not only practices of stillness and rest – they are gateways to reshaping the brain’s capacity for nervous system regulation, fostering release and resilience. Modern neuroscience shows that deep states of relaxation, such as those accessed through Yoga Nidra, activate neuroplasticity: the brain’s ability to rewire, release old patterns, and build new pathways of calm, focus, and clarity. Combined with the slow meditative depth of Yin Yoga, these practices create a fertile ground for nervous system regulation, mindful presence, and inner healing.

Yin yoga

This training is designed to build a strong foundation for both your personal practice and your teaching journey. You will be guided into the principles of Yin yoga, interwoven with Taoist philosophy, the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Meridians, and the healing flow of chi. Together, you will explore all about the Yin side of yoga – from functional alignment, adapting to the uniqueness of each body, to the nature of yin tissues and how to safely stretch and strengthen them.

You will journey through the body’s meridians and discover how to activate, balance, and harmonize chi energy in your yin poses. You will master to craft of intelligent sequences, guide students with skill and care, and weave together the physical and energetic benefits of Yin yoga into a deeply transformative experience.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra, often called yogic sleep, is a guided meditation practice that takes you into the state between wakefulness and sleep, where deep relaxation and heightened awareness meet, creating space for the nervous system to regulate and restore. While resting comfortably in Savasana, the practitioner is guided into this liminal state – a gentle yet profound way to raise consciousness, release tension, pain, and fear, and discover tools for navigating life’s challenges with greater ease. Yoga Nidra allows you to sink into the subconscious, uncover hidden patterns, and gently recondition the mind.

By letting go and entering a state of non-doing, you meet yourself in stillness, where old conditionings can be recognized and transformed into supportive ways of being. In its advanced form, Yoga Nidra becomes a transformative practice that nurtures inner growth, harmony, and peace – raising and shifting states of consciousness while cultivating compassion and allowing mind and heart to resonate on a higher level. In this space of deep rest and awareness, between consciousness and unconsciousness, you reconnect with what the soul already knows – awakening clarity, joy, and inner freedom.

The science of nervous system regulation

  • Neuroplasticity and brain rewiring: Learn how these practices literally reshape the brain, creating new neural pathways that support well-being, emotional regulation, and spiritual growth.
  • Polyvagal theory integration: Understand how Yin yoga and Yoga Nidra specifically activate the parasympathetic nervous system, moving students from survival states into thriving, connected awareness.
  • Mindfulness-based healing: Discover how conscious stillness and guided awareness create optimal conditions for suppressed emotions release and healing, stress reduction, and profound personal transformation.

Three-week immersion

In this three-week immersion in beautiful Bali, you will explore Yin yoga, Yoga Nidra, and nervous system regulation as powerful pathways to healing and transformation. This journey takes you through theory, practice, sequencing, and the art of holding space. With a focus on meridian activation, chi flow, and nervous system regulation, you will learn how Yin yoga and Yoga Nidra release tension, build resilience, and support both physical and emotional well-being. To deepen this ability to adapt and flow in life, you integrate the Taoist healing system of the five elements.

You will discover how to weave these elements and TCM meridians not only into Yin yoga but also into Yoga Nidra – through body rotation, breath awareness, and visualization – learning to guide chi to release what depletes and strengthen what nourishes. You will also explore your personal BaZi (Chinese astrology) birth chart, uncovering strengths, imbalances, and innate potential. The aim is to develop the skills to create and guide Yin yoga and Yoga Nidra sessions that meet individual needs, using their therapeutic tools as pathways to deep healing and transformation.

With abundant opportunities for a hands-on teaching practice, you will gain the confidence to hold space for others, integrating both physical and energetic aspects into your classes. Mindfulness principles weave through the training, connecting body and mind in a meditative way that allows energy to flow and healing to unfold. This immersion is a journey into refined self-practice, embodied mind–body healing, and the evolution of your authentic voice as a teacher.

40 hours of self-paced online course

To complete a solid foundation for your general certification and a deep understanding of yoga in all its variations, they offer you an additional 40-hour self-paced online video course. Of these 40 hours, 20 hours are dedicated to anatomy and physiology, and 20 hours will focus on general yoga humanities. The anatomy 20-hour online course will look into the anatomy of the muscular and skeletal body, as well as the human physiology, like the nervous system, incl. ‘fight, flight, freeze’ stress response, vagal theory, overall mind-body connection, cardiovascular or circulatory, endocrine, digestive systems, and the respiratory system as they relate to yoga practice.

In the yoga humanities 20-hour online course, you share details about general yoga history, philosophy, and foundations like the eight limbs and Patanjali’s yoga sutras, Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, and the Hatha yoga Pradipika. You will get to know about the Chakras, Koshas, Prana Vaayus, Kleshas, and more. Both these video courses are independent of the in-person module; you can start anytime after completing the sign-up, and you will have one year to go through the material at your own pace. The team is always available for active support throughout this process. After the in-person immersion, you will receive with successful examination your diploma as a Yin Yoga Therapy™ and Yoga Nidra teacher right away.
