How the training works
All videos are pre-recorded and so the course is entirely self-paced. The material is available by registration on the Teachable platform. The instructional videos can only be watched within the course itself, and you will have lifetime access to all of the material. There will be some downloadable PDFs, some audio lessons, and a workbook through the course.
There'll also be one live one-on-one session. Yoga Bliss can organize a session with each student that fits their schedule.
The minimum duration is 7 days. You will only be eligible to count the hours toward 200-hour teacher training if this online version is completed before December 30, 2022, and you join one of Yoga Bliss' future dates for the remaining 100 hours.
Course information
Anatomy course program (30 hours)
- Understand the anatomy of movement by studying the joints within the body
- Recognize the inherent differences by observing your own body and identifying your own limits
- Learn the fundamentals of anatomy
- Dive deeper into the different systems of the body (skeletal system, muscular system, respiratory system and nervous system)
- Anatomy of the breath
- Anatomy of the shoulder, hip, knee, spine, and core
- Discover how the body works and apply this knowledge to your practice and teaching
Philosophy course program (20 hours)
- The history of yoga: from the earliest mention in the Vedas to the modern postural yoga
- The Four Paths of Yoga: their original roots and meaning to how they can be modified to support the modern lifestyle
- The Vrttis (fluctuations) of the mind, how to recognize and cease identifying with them
- The Pancha Koshas (five layers) of your being: understand how these layers play a role in your daily life and how knowledge of them can be utilized to better your teaching
- The Eight Limbs of Ashtanga Yoga: as only one of the paths of yoga, move past a conceptual understanding and learn how to begin to live a life in adherence to these limbs
- The Kleshas: Understand what these obstacles are, how to identify their presence, and ways to overcome them
- The Chakras: Learn the intricacies of these very important energy centers including the indications of an imbalance, how you might observe an imbalance in others and the tools to support re-balancing these centers

Instructors
Gwendoline Borja
Gwendoline Borja is an E-RYT500, RPYT and YACEP Yoga Teacher based on Nusa Lembongan island (Bali). She took her first yoga class around 20 years ago and has taught over 7000 hours of yoga classes. Gwendoline has been teaching yoga for over a decade and leading Yoga Bliss retreats and 200h & 300h teacher training since April 2016. She has studied Ashtanga Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Yoga Philosophy, Yoga Anatomy, Yin Yoga, Prenatal, and Restorative Yoga with world-renowned teachers in France, India, and Indonesia.
Location
This training is conducted entirely online and as there are no live sessions, you can participate from the comfort of your home as and when it suits you. There are no deadlines, minimum time requirements, or schedules that you need to follow along with; you can take the entirety of this program at your own pace, wherever you are in the world.
