Overview

This 300-hour Yoga Alliance USA certified advanced teacher training course is an incredible toolkit for those who want to deepen their practice and enhance their yogic knowledge while improving their teaching skills.

Ashtanga yoga

The course covers the practice of the primary to intermediate series of Ashtanga yoga. Each asana with its Sanskrit name will be explained deeply. The sessions will be focused on making their students understand the intelligent way of using muscles and breathwork.

With a very easy approach, you will understand the sequencing and the principles of ujjai breath, dhristi, and bandhas, which are the most important elements of Ashtanga yoga practice.

Yoga with Srinatha will also discuss how the posture is developed as per your limitations and strengths, along with using yoga props, their benefits, and their contradictions. These incredible sessions can do wonders and give a deeper meaning to the yoga practice of a dedicated yoga sadhakas or practitioner.

Hatha yoga

The term Hatha is derived from the word ‘hasti,’ which means elephant. In the Vedic culture, an elephant is a sacred symbol of peace, mental health, and power. The objective of Hatha practice is to become peaceful and strong mentally, physically, and spiritually.

The training covers an intensive study of Hatha yoga practices, suitable both for those who have been practicing yoga for a few months and those who have spent years in this practice. It is the best course for those who are interested in developing their teaching skills to a higher level.

They teach according to the ancient principles and techniques, emphasizing correct alignment of asanas and pranayama practice to purify and clear the subtle energies (nadis). The combination of these practices leads to sense withdrawal (pratyahara), concentration (dharana), meditation (dhyana), and union - in turn leading to object meditation (samadhi).

In this training, students will harness the habit of intensity, stability, clarity, and gratitude in their yoga sadhana. At the end of the training, they will be able to perform a series of Hatha asanas with variations and modifications. They will also be able to teach and demonstrate the steps required to form the pose healthily.

Pranayama

Pranayama is a breathing work performed with a series of inhalation and exhalation in a conscious manner in order to balance the mind and emotions. It improves the circulation of blood in the brain and body as well as regulates the functioning of your endocrine glands. This helps in posture while practicing.

There is also no activity more noteworthy than pranayama for the removal of obstruction to waste expulsion. By doing the various types of pranayama, all the dross matter of the body, mind, and sense dries up. It clears and balances the pancha vayus - apana, samana, prana, udana, and vyana.

Teaching methodology

Teaching methodology in this advanced course will nurture the student on how to lead classes and polish their teaching skills. It will show you how to become a yoga teacher who uses all the advanced theoretical and practical knowledge that you will get in this course. You will learn skills such as group dynamics, time management, the establishment of priorities, and boundaries.

Yoga anatomy

The anatomy classes will give you all the tools and knowledge about body structure and how it moves. You will learn about the engagement of various muscles, joints, and organs, as well as their positions and the stretches and contractions that happen during the formation of any yoga asana.

Understanding all these details will help you be conscious of your body's movement and understand its restrictions or openness. This will improve your alignment and avoid injuries.

After successful completion of this yoga course, you will be able to identify stiff muscles and help your students focus on areas needed to release the muscles. Using this knowledge, you can then intelligently design your practice and teach with confidence.

Yoga philosophy

Yoga has strong philosophical roots in ancient scripture like Vedas, Bhagwat Geeta, and Upanishad - the mind, body, and spirit are all one and cannot be separated.

The goal of yoga philosophy is not simply serenity. It is to expand your capacity to hold the entire spectrum of your human experience with grace. Yoga Sutra of Patanjali succinctly outlines the art and science of yoga meditation for self-realization. This course will break down the vast philosophy of yoga into easy and simple lectures.

Meditation

Meditation is a process of realizing your true nature so that you can relate yourself to the world. It is the means of attaining self-elevation and bliss of liberated existence. By practicing it, you will be able to supply such a quantum of energy and awaken the genius in an average individual. Experiencing a spiritual spark and divine feeling will fill you with faith.

Yoga with Srinatha will guide you to be more mindful and deeply connected to the self by centering on your inner nature. Meditation classes in this 300-hour yoga teacher training will make you more mindful and deeply connected to your inner self.

Ayurveda

Ayurveda is considered the sister science of yoga. In the spiritual evolution of a man, Ayurveda is the foundation and yoga is the body. It is necessary to understand tridosha in order to experience the practice of yoga according to suitable body types. It also includes ahara (the food), vihara (how to live), and vichara (the thought) on which your whole lifestyle is based.

Yoga with Srinatha will teach you how to involve Ayurveda in your daily life, Ayurveda cooking remedies for common diseases, and diet planning according to different types of body.
