Prerequisites

Like any school, the 200-hour online yoga teacher training, while being very passionate about its students, also demands certain prerequisites from you. The 200-hour online course involves packed hours of sessions, classes, lectures, and activities that students are expected to be regular online. Make sure you have an uninterrupted, good internet connection with a laptop or desktop having sufficient processor speed and memory for storing and streaming online yoga classes.

Certifications

Students who complete their training are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®).

How the training works

You can easily create a yoga environment in your home. You can practice anytime during the day when you feel with an empty stomach. However, performing an active yoga practice in the morning can energize your mind and body, which can help set the tone for how you feel the rest of the day. Try to set a specific time each day or as often in the week as possible to practice yoga so your practice will become a habit. When practicing at home, you should create a suitable environment specifically for yoga and meditation.

Make sure there is sufficient light in your room (preferably sunlight) and the area is clean and tidy. Also, make sure you do not have any sound or distractions by media or people when you practice the online sessions from the 200-hour online yoga teacher training. It would also be good to have sufficient warm, fresh air in the room by opening a window. Let the air in your room be not polluted by burning incense, air from insect-repellent coils, smoke, or any type of air pollution. Make sure you have kept the necessary props for your practice, such as a yoga mat or a blanket in the area before you begin.

Also, a dry hand towel and some drinking water in the room will be suitable for your exercise. This will prevent you from having to run around the house looking for a different prop before you perform exercises from the 200-hour online yoga teacher training course. Make sure you inform the online yoga teacher training about any serious physical or mental health issues while enrolling for online yoga teacher training. If your problems are serious, you should consult a doctor or physiotherapist before practicing yoga.
