Pathways Country Yoga Retreat offers heavenly, comfortable accommodation in a very homely environment. Each room is private with a king or queen size bed for your comfort. Bathrooms are shared with one other. Each room over looks either the a tranquil garden and swimming pool or three serene lakes. There is a private island and gardens for quiet time or contemplation with an outdoor sun deck to soak in the miraculous beauty of sunrise and sunset. There is also an indoor and outdoor yoga studio, fresh vegetable and fruit gardens, nature walking trails, and an abundance of bird life among other activities. You'll feel revitalized, clear minded, relaxed, and rejuvenated. Catering to individuals, couples, families, and groups, a friendly, tranquil environment is assured.

Program

The yoga teacher training also teaches one how to integrate the age old teachings and modern day life, in a way of being, bringing balance, and fulfillment to life. This program is for those who wish to transform their life, awaken and merge with their soul, connect with the guru within and deepen their knowledge and experience of yoga. For those that want to delve into the ancient secrets of life. You will discover who you are and what you are capable of and learn scientific techniques for self-realization.

The world is on the brink of 'awakening'. What people are realizing is that there is an eight limb outline to the practice of yoga and that all eight limbs have to be practiced for the union to happen. This course will prepare you for the times you are moving into and equip you to help others through these times too, and help you understanding the working of the subtle body (mind and emotions) and its needs to transition through the times emerging with ease and share this with a passion.

The trainer is the author of her published books Pathway To Wellness, Yoga Nidra and The Ancient Secret of Life and her Children’s Yoga Nidra – The Enlightened Super Soul. She has completed a compilation of Yoga Nidra audio’s to balance mind, body and emotions. As a qualified life coach, she specializes teaching life transforming techniques in wellness and fulfillment. Jennifer is a qualified and registered yoga teacher through Ishta School of Yoga and Health.

She is also a qualified Kundalini yoga teacher. Jennifer is a CYT with World Yoga Alliance and Pathways Academy of Life a CYS with World Yoga Alliance. Jennifer is also a full member of the yoga teacher fellowship of Southern Africa, thus the International Yoga Federation. She obtained a full distinction, Life Coaching Diploma through The Life Coach Institute in the UK.

Jennifer has been practicing yoga for 27 years and teaching for 26 years. She has also trained teachers for the last 20 years.

Minimum yoga teacher standards

Pathways Country Yoga Retreats minimum yoga teacher standards are taken from the International Yoga Federation (IYF) and Worlds Yoga Alliance (WYA) and are in accordance to international requirements. The minimum yoga teacher standards for this yoga teacher training cover dedication and discipline, attendance of all lessons, and written and practical exam all done on the training. Pathways Country Yoga Retreat offers one-on-one training courses or small groups of 2 - 4 for personalized training, maximum of 8.

Pathways Country Yoga Retreat is an escape from everything happening in the world to a tranquil piece of paradise where on arrival stress and tension literally melt away and love and peace prevail. Between rolling green hills overlooking serene dams, you can unwind, relax, and rejuvenate out in the country at this serene haven.

Driving directions from Durban

  • Take the N3 towards Pietermaritzburg.
  • Take the camper down off-ramp.
  • At the top of the off-ramp turn left.
  • Follow the road for about 3 kilometers to a T-junction turn left onto the R603 toward Umbumbulu. Pass Tala game reserve and Eston farmers club.
  • After about 15 kilometers, you will pass a Caltex garage on your left at the Eston cross roads, you are 5kilometers from Pathways sign, continue along the R603.
  • After about 5.5 kilometers, you will see a signpost, Pathways Country Yoga Retreat, turn left at this sign off the R603 and proceed along a gravel road.
  • The road will come to a fork - take the left side of the split and follow the white painted arrows on rocks on the side of the road.
  • When you reach a T- junction, there is a small rock with a turn left white arrow.
  • Follow this road until you come to a small sign post, Clonmel Farm Homestead, and then turn right.
  • Proceed with this road until you come to the homestead front gate.

Driving directions from Pietermaritzburg

  • Proceed along the N3 in the direction of Durban.
  • Take the R603 Umlaas Road / Umbumbulu / Richmond off-ramp.
  • Follow the Umbumbulu sign on the R603.
  • Proceed down the R603 towards Umbumbulu.
