Program

This 28-day immersive training offers a complete understanding of yoga - body, breath, mind, and spirit. The program combines physical practice, meditation, philosophy, and teaching skills to create a balanced and meaningful learning experience. The training takes place in the peaceful surroundings of Budhanilkantha, near the Shivapuri hills in Kathmandu, providing an ideal environment for study, self-reflection, and personal growth. Welcome to Shiv Tattva Yog School, a tranquil yoga retreat and training center in Budhanilkantha, Kathmandu, near the Shivapuri hills and Shivapuri National Park.

Their peaceful setting, surrounded by fresh mountain air and green forests, offers a supportive environment for students to step away from daily stress and focus on learning, healing, and personal growth. You view yoga as a path of self-discovery that brings balance to body, mind, and spirit. The environment encourages you to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and deepen your understanding of yoga and mindful living. This training is suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners. The curriculum combines traditional yoga teachings with modern methods, covering asanas, pranayama, meditation, anatomy, philosophy, and practical teaching skills.

The 28-day immersive training follows a daily routine of yoga practice, study, and self-reflection. This structure builds discipline, awareness, and a deeper connection to the yogic lifestyle. Students receive both theoretical knowledge and practical teaching experience under the guidance of experienced teachers. Beyond yoga training, students enjoy a peaceful ashram atmosphere, nourishing vegetarian meals, and opportunities to connect with nature. Excursions to nearby temples, cultural sites, and the Shivapuri Hills offer insight into Nepal's spiritual and natural beauty. At Shiv Tattva Yog School, their mission is to create a welcoming, supportive community where students grow physically, mentally, and spiritually.

They guide you toward a deeper understanding of yoga and help you build the confidence and skills to share it with others. Whether you are on your yoga journey or looking to expand your practice, the school offers a meaningful experience that can inspire lasting transformation. This is their flagship program and the industry standard for becoming a professional yoga teacher. This 28-day immersion is a life-changing journey that will equip you with everything you need to teach yoga safely, confidently, and with heart. It is a deep, transformative process that goes far beyond physical postures. The group is small, with no more than 10 students, so everyone gets personalized attention. You will:

  • Learn Hatha, Vinyasa, and Ashtanga yoga styles during your training
  • Study more than 75 yoga asanas, along with pranayama, meditation, and bandhas
  • Receive training in teaching methods, class sequencing, and class management
  • Explore yoga philosophy, including the Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita, and Hatha Yoga Pradipika
  • Learn about yoga anatomy and how to prevent injuries

Each day, you will take part in meditation, pranayama, and yoga practice. You will practice teaching with support and feedback from experienced teachers. The peaceful setting, near the Shivapuri hills and in natural surroundings, creates a calm learning environment. You will stay for 27 nights in a yoga ashram and enjoy three vegetarian satvik meals each day.
