Program
Course overview
This 31-day (30-night) advanced Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) is tailored for yogis who have completed a 200-hour YTT and are ready to deepen their understanding of Yoga and enhance their teaching skills. We will give you our 300h manual on arrival but also our 200h manual before the course for some important revisions.
Firmly rooted in the Hatha Yoga tradition, this course builds on the 200-hour YTT foundation, and aside from a brief review at the start, it will be all new knowledge. You will explore further into the Patanjali Yoga Sutras, covering new concepts from chapters I and II and introducing chapters III and IV.
The course also delves deeper into Hatha Yoga Pradipika as well as the fascinating practices from Gheranda Samhita. Additionally, this 300-hour training covers essential areas of Yoga Psychology, Yoga Therapy, and a foundational introduction to Ayurveda, the sister science of Yoga.
On the practical side, you will learn advanced techniques, including challenging asanas, new pranayamas (with extended ratio and kumbhaka control), and interesting shuddi kriyas. You will also explore deeper meditation practices, such as Transcendental Meditation and a one-week Yoga Nidra course designed to prepare you to teach it confidently. To feel the true transformative power of meditation, SKY (Yoga & Meditation) have included a game-changing 3 silent days at the end of your third week to undoubtedly take you beyond anything you thought about meditation.
To make your experience truly unique, they offer a range of optional activities: two Sunday excursions, weekly evening sound baths, yogic movie nights, a short and a long fast for detox and many more fun add-ons. While all of these are included, they are optional, giving you the freedom to join as you wish.
You will also have the option to take the Level 1 or 2 exam from the Yoga Certification Board, organises by the Ministry of AYUSH, which will make you a Yoga Teacher recognised by the Government of India.

Over half of the course is dedicated to practical and hands-on tutorial classes, which are essential to your learning experience with SKY.
The tutorial classes (asana lab and meditation lab) blend theory with immediate practice. In these sessions, you’ll learn how to perform specific advanced postures correctly and you will then practice these postures right away with hands-on guidance and corrections from your instructor. This is the perfect time to ask questions and take notes. The same applies to the meditation techniques, where the techniques and desired outcome are explained clearly first, before an experimental practice to test and understand them.
Practical classes, on the other hand, are purely about practice - no note-taking needed. The practical meditation time for our advanced course is 1h per day (compared to 30 minutes for the 200h) as it is expected that you have some meditation experience before undertaking this course (all meditation levels are welcome, but 1h daily can be challenging if you do not have any previous experience).
For the shuddhi kriyas, you will engage in these practices during our daily morning sessions, with the theory being covered separately as we study the Hatha Yoga texts.
