You’ll study a unique blend of styles, including alignment-based Vinyasa flow, classical Hatha yoga, and deeply nourishing Restorative practices, all taught within a therapeutic, body-inclusive framework.

Daily Schedule
The California immersion is designed as an intensive, yet balanced program, blending study, practice, and time for integration.
Each day includes a dynamic mix of intellectual learning, physical activity, and deep relaxation, ensuring a healthy experience both mentally and physically.
Sample Day:
- 08:00 – Yoga asana practice, meditation, and pranayama
- 10:00 – Methodology, alignment study, anatomy, and teaching skills
- 12:30 – Healthy, delicious lunch prepared for you
- 13:30 – Restorative yoga or Yoga Nidra, philosophy, lifestyle, ethics, and practice teaching
- 17:30 – Class concludes for the day (some evenings may include light home study)
- Time Off: One full day and one half-day are scheduled for rest, reflection, or exploring the local redwoods, rivers, and beaches.

Peggy Profant
Peggy Profant, C-IAYT Yoga Therapist, E-RYT 500, and certified Anusara yoga teacher first discovered the practice in 1980 and began teaching it to others in 1997. Ashtanga, Iyengar, and Anusara are the schools in which have influenced her practice. As one who lives courageously from her heart, she passionately teaches her classes with meaningful yogic themes while keeping a keen attention to alignment. In addition to yoga, being in nature and with her family is where she finds her deepest joy and peace.
Christine McArdle
Christine, a seasoned yoga instructor and founder of the international school Om Shree Om, began her yoga journey in 1990, driven by a desire for emotional balance and mental clarity from her stressful teaching career. Renowned for her expertise in therapeutic yoga, Christine excels in teaching alignment, biomechanics, and fascial health, integrating these into a holistic approach that promotes healing and well-being. As a teacher trainer, she imparts this deep knowledge to aspiring yoga teachers, enhancing their practices with her fun-spirited and engaging teaching style.

Please book your flight to arrive at Arcata-Eureka Airport (ACV). Complementary airport transportation will be provided from Arcata-Eureka Airport (ACV) in Humboldt County, California to your housing location.
You may also book your flight to arrive at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). Shared shuttles may be coordinated from SFO at an additional cost if others are interested. Please contact Soma Yoga Institute for more information on the SFO shuttle. Another great way to get from the SFO airport to Arcata / Blue Lake area is either a one-way rental car through Enterprise or via public bus transportation. Soma Yoga Institute can pick you up from the rental car drop-off location or bus station free of charge and take you to your lodging.

- A reservation requires a deposit of 20% of the total price.
- The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
