What You Will Learn

Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga

Mornings begin with meditation and pranayama, followed by a two hour class of Hatha or Vinyasa yoga with options for beginner and advanced. Classes feature signature themes such as chakra awakening, trauma release, advanced transitions, creative sequencing and more. Also enjoy one magical sunset class on the beach.

Asana Labs

Receive detailed instruction on core yoga poses to build a solid foundation. Learn correct form and function of poses, proper alignment, technique, variations for different levels, and modifications with props. Gain deeper knowledge of breath awareness, bandha engagement, physiological benefits, and hands on adjustments.

Teaching Skills

One highlight of this course is the attention to creating a confident and skilled instructors. You will learn teaching skills, teaching methodology and class design. You practice teaching everyday, plus teach a complete class every week. Receive detailed feedback to grow and develop. At the end of the this training you will be ready to go out and teach professionally.

Aerial, Acro, and Yin Yoga

Each day includes a special workshop to provide you with a dynamic skillset. Aerial yoga explores a dynamic range of motion, cure back pain with traction and inversions. Acro yoga helps you to elevate your sense of balance and engagement, becoming more self aware by connecting with others. Yin yoga helps to relieve stress and trauma, break up scar tissue, to promote self healing.

Functional Anatomy

Gain a deeper understanding of bodily systems and structures. Learn the principles underlying each movement and of yoga itself. Learn about bones, muscles, fascia, joints and nervous system. Explore how this all works together to enhance your alignment, hands adjustments, and ability to guide students with special needs and injuries.

Philosophy

Discover your true self and the deeper nature of reality through the sacred wisdom of ancient yogic philosophy. Incorporate these lessons in the real world to cultivate a holistic yoga lifestyle. Topics include the yoga sutras by Patanjali, 8 limbs of yoga, chakras, gunas, doshas. Check the schedule for intro to Hinduism, Ayurveda, Tantra, Kundalini, and more.

Bali is a tropical island paradise known as the Island of the Gods. Uluwatu is one of the most beautiful parts of Bali with stunning limestone cliffs, turquoise waters and world famous surfing, hip cafes, beach bars, boutique shops, live music, dance, spas and massage.

In your free time you can visit Uluwatu's amazing beaches, watch the Balinese dance show at Uluwatu temple, go shopping in magical Ubud, swim in waterfalls above the clouds in Munduk, hike 10,000 meters up to Mt. Agung, go snorkeling or diving in Amed, go island hopping in the Gili’s.

Ulu Yoga Training Location

This training takes place at Ulu Yoga's beautiful new ocean view shala, just a few minutes to famous Bingin Beach. The shala features a soft cushion floor, clean new props and air conditioning.

Train comfortably any time of year. Easily walk to several resorts. Many great shops and cafes are just 2min drive.

Food

Packages with accommodation include a nourishing vegetarian breakfast on training days, featuring a wide variety of delicious options to suit all dietary needs. For lunch and dinner, you can easily add meals onsite for just 3–5 USD per dish, or go out and explore the many wonderful cafes nearby in the village or on the beach.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS). You can take a taxi to your accommodation. Or you can order rides via Gojek or Grab. Get a local SIM card at the airport for internet.
