Prerequisites

Although our 500-hour YTTC is beginner, intermediate, and advanced friendly. As our training schedule is very intense, we prefer that you have some knowledge of Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga, or Kundalini Yoga (Online/Offline). It would also be great if you had practiced some classes of Hatha, Ashtanga, Kundalini, or any other form of yoga on a regular basis or a frequent basis (online/offline). If you have already attended some short retreats: Silence retreat, Vipassana kind of retreat, or any other retreat/ workshops/ seminars about the yogic path, that also can be a plus point. As we do keep the partial silence, so that you can have the full benefit of the training.

  • Now that you have enrolled for the 500-hour yoga teacher training course in Rishikesh, your days will be packed with classes, sessions, lectures, and activities for which attendance is a must
  • They require students to be motivated and disciplined at all times, be it with regard to attending classes as well as other habits. This means no alcohol, tobacco, or drugs are to be consumed at the center. Non-vegetarian food and caffeine are strictly prohibited, and any form of nudity will not be encouraged at the center
  • All the above rules are to be strictly followed; failing by which a student would have to be dismissed from the center

Discipline rules for students

  • Drinks, drugs, and cigarettes are not to be found anywhere in the center
  • Skipping classes and other sessions for invalid reasons will not be encouraged
  • Students are expected to respect gurus and others around the center, including other students
  • In case of fasting or eating outside, kitchen managers are to be informed so as to prevent wastage
  • All borrowed items from the center need to be returned before a student’s departure
  • Family or friends visiting need to gain identification proof from the front desk

You may have followed the same regime you were confined to at the 200-hour yoga teacher training course in Rishikesh, or you may have gone back to your old style of living back at home. In the case of the latter, here, you get another practice for the disciplining you need to go back to. Food

D'vine Yoga provides three meals a day that include breakfast, lunch, and dinner. On Sundays, there will be only breakfast, no lunch, and dinner. The meals mainly consist of vegetables and fruits that are organic, lactose-free, yogic, and Ayurvedic. D'vine Yoga provides gluten-free and Vegan food at your request. They can also provide special consideration if you have a request concerning any further dietary requirements that you have.

How to get there

Arrival by airplane

Wherever in the world, you are coming from, Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) in Delhi will be your entry point in India if you are heading to Rishikesh. There are no direct flights to Rishikesh. So, if you wish to reach Rishikesh by plane, Dehradun Jolly Grant Airport will be your next destination. You will need to catch a connecting flight to the Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun from Delhi then catch a taxi to the D'vine Yoga School.

Arrival by bus

If you decide to take a bus to Rishikesh from Delhi airport, you will have to first get to the ISBT (bus stand) by taxi. You can book your bus ticket beforehand. The bus ride from Delhi will take around 7-8 hours.

For the bus route from Delhi, first, you need to get to the Delhi bus stand. The Delhi bus stand is located 30 kilometers from the airport. From the Delhi bus stand, you will then take a bus to Rishikesh. This is a 230-kilometer ride that will take around 7-8 hours. Once you arrive at the Rishikesh bus stand, you can take a taxi to the D'vine Yoga School.

Arrival by train

You can also take a train from Delhi to Haridwar if you wish to travel by train. From the Delhi airport, you need to get to the Delhi railway station (by taxi) located 22 kilometers away to catch a train to Haridwar. From Haridwar, you can catch a bus to Rishikesh and catch a taxi to the D'vine Yoga School. The bus ride from Haridwar to Rishikesh is 29 kilometers.

Note: there are no direct trains to Rishikesh, so you will have to go to Haridwar first if you decide to take a train.

Arrival by taxi

D'vine Yoga School can arrange your taxi pick up from the Delhi airport or the Dehradun airport. Charges for these services are as follows:

  • From Delhi: 85 EUR (one way)
  • From Haridwar: 20 EUR (one way)

Taxis will be available as you come out of the airports. Have the D'vine Yoga School address and contact information handy in case you need to contact them for directions!
