Certification
Students who complete the training are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®).
About the training
This integrated experience blends immersive in-person study with guided online learning and an additional 10-hour mentorship, offering you the best of both worlds: embodied learning and ongoing support. Through a thoughtfully designed curriculum, you’ll explore the origins and deeper intentions of yoga, alongside the intricacies of human anatomy, subtle energy systems, and the art of holding space.
You'll also develop practical teaching skills — from intentional sequencing and alignment-based cueing to language that inspires and connects — allowing you to lead safe, supportive, and meaningful classes in your own authentic voice. Eva Yoga believes that the only way to learn how to teach is by teaching — with guidance, feedback, and space to grow. From the beginning, you'll be encouraged through teaching your first pose, first sequence, and first class.
The small group size ensures you receive personal attention and mentorship throughout. You’ll not only learn to teach classical Hatha and creative Vinyasa flow, but also how to adapt practices for a range of students, and begin crafting your own signature offerings.
Through this training, you’ll uncover the wisdom in your body, connect more deeply to your voice, and begin your journey as a teacher — and a source — for your students.
Why go to the Source?
- 160 hours in-person training - Hands-on instruction to build real teaching confidence — learn to cue, assist, and adapt for different bodies in a supportive live environment. They believe nothing replaces learning with moving, breathing bodies. You’ll gain practical experience teaching throughout the program, with direct feedback in a small, immersive setting.
- 20 nights room and board - A full retreat experience at our 400-year-old Quinta in Portugal’s Douro Valley, with both shared and private rooms blending historical charm and modern comfort. Enjoy three wholesome daily meals, plus infused water, teas, coffee, and fresh fruit available all day.
- 40-hour online learning container - Lifetime access to the continuous study platform — including guest expert lectures and a curated library of 100+ yoga classes across styles like Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, and Myofascial Release. These resources are designed to support your practice and teaching well beyond the training.
- 10-hour mentorship process - The support doesn’t end on graduation day. You'll be guided through a 10-hour post-training mentorship including live group calls, practical teaching resources, and a one-on-one session with a lead trainer to help you take your next steps as a teacher.
- Full-color printed source manuals - The comprehensive training manuals include over 600 pages of self-written manuals and workbooks. While most trainings offer a single 100-page manual, it spans multiple volumes covering all aspects of yoga theory and practice — designed to support your learning for years to come.
- Yoga shala and props provided - Practice in fully equipped indoor and outdoor yoga spaces with everything you need: mats, bolsters, straps, blocks, and therapy balls.
- Yoga Alliance certification - Receive your 200-hour certificate from an internationally accredited Registered Yoga School (RYS), recognized by Yoga Alliance. Whether you plan to teach locally or globally, this certification opens doors around the world.
- Welcome and graduation gifts - Receive two therapy balls for your personal practice, the signature Source swag, a special graduation gift, and a mini professional photoshoot with five images — perfect for your marketing and memories.
Curriculum
Many programs reduce yoga to either physical fitness or esoteric practices. At The Source, The Source offers a broad and balanced curriculum - one that honors yoga’s origins and deeper intentions while preparing students to teach in the modern world with clarity and confidence. Their training blends in-person immersion with engaging online modules, creating a comprehensive and elevated learning experience. They share research-informed practices, teach alignment grounded in anatomical principles and individual variation, and offer a trauma-sensitive approach to practice, while inviting exploration beyond the physical — through meditation, philosophy, and subtle energy.
The curriculum is not only broad and balanced, but also rich in depth - designed to cultivate both practical teaching skills and personal insight. They are not a dogmatic or shamanic school. Instead, their approach is inclusive, accessible, and grounded. For them, yoga isn’t about escaping reality, but about arriving more fully in it — with presence, peace, and purpose.
