Program

Nepal is counted as the motherland of meditation as it has given birth to many enlightened masters. Buddha has given different styles of meditation like breathing meditation, Vipassana meditation, Loving and Kindness meditation, Samata meditation, etc. Shiva has given 112 techniques of meditation which are written in ancient scripture Vigyan Bhairava Tantra.

The lead teacher Ananda Prakash has done deep research on these styles of meditations of Shiva from Nepal Sanskrit University. Nepal Yoga Home hopes you will get the best course of pranayama and meditation in depth. The meditation training course is not only for teaching this course for transformation. The teachers are not interested in teaching but make great efforts to awaken from illusory life.

According to Patanjali yoga sutra, there are three stages of Antaranga Sadhana (internal yoga):

1. Dharana (concentration)

Dharana is the concentration which generated through pointed awareness. Dharana is the state, where your mind is concentrated on one subject. It is said there is a wind of thought running in your mind. To give direction to those scattered thoughts, you need dharana in your life. When you reach perfection towards the practice of concentration, dhyana is achieved.

2. Dhyana (meditation)

Dhyana is contemplation with pure awareness. It is defined as effortless concentration. It is the first stage of the meditation. Using meditation can achieve spiritual, mental, and emotional success.

3. Samadhi (ultimate liberation from suffering)

Samadhi is the blissful state of silence where just pure consciousness will be left. Samadhi is the final state and the ultimate goal of meditation. It is the silent state of mind where you become one with the true nature of self. It is a blissful state.

As you are upset sometimes without any reason, the meditative mind is the state where joy emerges from within. This is the true nature of the mind. Due to an unnatural lifestyle and busy life, you tend to become more stressed and anxious. Meditation brings balance and harmony to your life.

Introduction of pranayama

Prana is regarded as the vital force of life. Ayama is the extension. Thus, the extension (ayama) of the prana (life energy) is known as pranayama.

Pranayama is not just the practice of controlling breathing. But by being able to control your breath you are able to activate the energy channels. You are able to still your thoughts and emotions. Imagine a man trying to control a monkey. It is hard to control. The same is like when you try to control your mind

That is why sometimes when you sit for meditation, you find more difficulty in controlling your thoughts. Yogis in ancient times developed a systematic technique that helps to still your minds. The still mind is the meditative mind.

So, pranayama is very beneficial not just for your brain and lungs but also for awakening your higher consciousness and preparing for your spiritual journey, and you will learn the right way of doing pranayama in this pranayama and meditation training.
