Pre-application requirements
You must have previously finished a 200-hour yoga teacher training course to enroll in the 300-hour course. One must be prepared to put the effort into advancing the knowledge and deepening the practice. Anyone who is self-motivated and willing to learn and teach yoga can join.
Certifications
Students who complete their training are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®).
How the training works
The course date is flexible, so you can start on any date and complete the course between one to four months. There will be 15 optional live asana classes. Once you sign up, you can start 48 hours after payment. However, Raj Yoga Rishikesh is available for a call or conference as needed. At the end of the training, you have to attend a written exam and share recorded videos of your teaching or live demo. All the teaching material is previously recorded videos, PDFs, and will be accessed through Raj Yoga Rishikesh's online panel. You will get an opportunity to resolve any doubts with teachers via email, text, or during the live classes. The final exam will be a written theory exam and a recorded teaching video of the class.
As this is a self-paced course, they recommend that you do yoga practice and study with recorded modules and the course manual to learn more about the correct techniques of asanas, yogic philosophy, yogic anatomy, so that you know more about your body, pranayama, meditation, yoga therapy, etc. As this is a more flexible course, you can also study more on the weekends or at your own convenience. You will receive good-quality recorded videos that are detailed and easy to follow. You can practice watching these videos. You will be guided on how to study effectively. There will be a few live asana classes that are optional, where they correct your alignment. You can also clarify any doubts that you may have during these live classes.

Asana
1. Hatha alignment
Focus on the correct alignment of all the advanced asana and their variations based on the Iyengar style. The class focuses on each asana in detail with the alignment and breath - standing, sitting, forward bends, backbends, inversions, and arm balance. The asana classes are of mixed style - strength-based, flow-based, alignment-based, etc.
2. Ashtanga Vinyasa flow yoga
Vinyasa Flow is characterized by flowing poses and sequences that are linked to the breath. Through the flowing movement of one pose to the next, the focus is brought to the inhale and the exhale. Various Vinyasa class sequences include the regular linear ashtanga sequence and more creative, expressive Vinyasa forms.
Yoga philosophy
Yoga philosophy will cover the history and science behind the study of Yoga. The classic texts and teachings on yoga are presented in terms of your life today, with most attention on the Patanjali Yoga Sutra. You will learn about the Bhagavad Geeta and the lessons of Karma yoga, Bhakti yoga, and Gyana yoga. You will learn about the physical, astral, and causal bodies and the Hatha Yoga Pradipika.
Ayurveda and yoga therapy
This module will give you an understanding of the five vayus or principal forces of the body. You will also get an opportunity to learn about different doshas of the body, and the therapy part will teach you how to balance these doshas. This will be a great module to bring general well-being in life and also guide others to lead healthier lives.
Pranayama
The course will focus on all the major pranayamas as per the Hatha Yoga Pradipika. The pranayama will be taught correctly and in detail so you understand the benefits of each. The course will also teach you the therapeutic use of pranayama through which you will be able to guide your students in the future. You will also get an opportunity to advance your pranayama practice and grow spiritually.

Mudra and bandhas

Students will learn both philosophy and practical application of a variety of meditation techniques. You will get an introduction to Chakra meditations, Mantra meditation, Vipassana meditation, and other meditation techniques.
Yoga anatomy and physiology
Students will learn anatomy and physiology relevant to yoga in order to strengthen their classroom explanations, cues, and corrections of asana.
Teaching methodology
Clear guidelines and instructions on how to teach to different levels of students a few different approaches to asana class as well as breathwork.
