Dhyan Mandir
Dhyan Mandir is a beautiful ashram with two yoga halls, where one is a white Dom in a big garden with flowers and many trees.
There is free Wi-Fi access, a hot shower, and a filtered drinking water system, and a washing machine is available for free whenever you need to do your laundry.
The yoga center is located in a quiet area, and local shops are nearby.
Rooms
There are private rooms and shared rooms, and some of them have air-condition. The rooms are big and have western toilets and a wardrobe. There are also bedsheets, blankets, and pillows provided for you.
The rooms are clean and comfortable with attached bathrooms. There are also coupled with an array of modern comforts including complimentary Wi-Fi internet access.

300-Hour Hatha and Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher Training Overview
Sammasati Retreat is offering this 300-hour yoga teacher training in Rishikesh. It is an intensive program designed to strengthen your already existing knowledge and foundation of yoga.
The students should already be graduates of a 200-hour yoga teacher training course in any style to enroll in this 300-hour teacher training course. This course will focus mainly on Hatha and Vinyasa Flow practice, technical training, and advanced asana practice.
You will be concentrating on sequencing, technical detail, and structural components for a Hatha-Vinyasa Flow class. The students will be able to obtain in-depth knowledge of advanced pranayama techniques, meditation practices, structural anatomy, and philosophy, and will have the opportunity to teach and assist with hands-on adjustments during the asana classes.
This course is purposely structured for the advancement of your path as an instructor and as a student and will prepare you for a more advanced personal and professional exploration of the transformative power of yoga in body, mind, and soul.

Requirements for the certificate:
- Consumption of any kind of drugs, alcohol, smoking cigarettes, as well as eating non vegetarian food is not allowed during the course. Sammasati Retreat expect participants to follow a healthy lifestyle to support your journey of yoga and meditation during this training
- To obtain a teacher’s training certificate we expect from you sincere behavior, a genuine desire to study, passing writing assignments and teaching a Yoga asana class at the end of the training. We will support you in the process so that you feel confident about teaching Yoga
- Being punctual and attending the classes is needed in a 300h YTTC. Sammasati Retreat does not entertain people who come just for certificates.
- Be respectful to yourself and others. Remember that you are on a path of yoga and meditation. Rude or arrogant behavior with fellow students, teachers and management will not be tolerated.
Detailed Syllabus
1. Pavanmuktasana Series
Pavanmuktasana is a series of practices used to warm up the body before doing asanas. The first series aims to release tension and stiffness in the joints and work on rheumatism. The second round aims to release initial energetic or physical blocks in the body before the asana practice. The third series eliminates energy blockages in the spine, activates the lungs and heart, and improves endocrine function.
2. Suryanamaskar (Sun Salutation) and Chandranamaskar (Moon Salutation)
Students will gain a thorough understanding of traditional Suryanamaskar and Chandranamaskar with their variations to create a more efficient practice.
Each pose will be taught separately with correct alignment and then in conjunction with the whole series, focusing on linking the poses together and coordinating the breath with the movement.
3. Asanas: Practicing and Teaching Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Asanas
Benefits, precautions, and different ways to incorporate each asana into a productive class. This course will cover sitting, forward bends, twists, abdominal, backbend, and inversion asanas from key verbal cues, alignments, and adjustment techniques.
4. Teaching Methodology
Class structure: Learning is the key aspect of designing a yoga session. The methodology of coaching will focus on position and techniques of visual demonstration. The importance of observing the students and responding to the group's and the individual student’s needs while instructing a class.
5. Assisting and Adjusting students
Each student will have an opportunity to practice how to offer adjustments to asanas in the class while another teacher is teaching. They will also become more comfortable safely adjusting fellow students in a timed class setting. You will learn poses that support natural and safe posture with anatomically correct spine alignment.
- Meditation - Introducing and discussing the value of meditation. Practicing active and passive meditations and teaching meditations to students.
- Yoga Nidra - Yoga Nidra is guided by the teacher or audio recording which takes the participants into deep relaxation, releasing the tension in the body and mind.
- Karma yoga - Karma yoga is a selfless action without expecting anything in return from people, the community, or the environment. Practicing 20 minutes of Karma yoga a day will bring you closer to the people, community and environment around you.
6. Human Physical Anatomy
Developing an understanding of the different body systems and how they are interrelated. To ensure safe physical practice, students will have a basic understanding of the types of joint movements and the function of muscular groups.
- Energy Anatomy and Physiology - Introducing the concepts around the seven chakras, three granthis, five koshas, five vayus, Kundalini energy, and three nadis and how one can start observing these subtle energy channels and bodies through yoga and meditation practice.
7. Shatkriyas (Yogic Detox)
Shatkriyas detoxify and create balance in the body to maintain good health, resulting in feeling lighter, healthier, and a deeper yoga practice. You will practice some Shatkriyas that consist of six groups of purification methods.
- Pranayama: Pranayama techniques expand the breath opening the door to physical, mental, and emotional health and inner transformation. You will practice advanced pranayama techniques.
- Mudras and Bandhas: Mudras and bandhas help to awaken the chakras and Kundalini energy. You will practice mudras and bandhas with advanced pranayama techniques to awaken the energy.
8. Yoga Philosophy
You will learn in-depth yoga philosophy, which will consist of history, the aim of yoga, and its origin and evolution until the modern day.
You will also thoroughly understand the correlation between various styles and their goals. You will study Hathayogapradipika by Swami Satmarana and Yog Sutras by Patanjali. There will be lectures on Vedanta, Upanishads, Sankhya Yoga in the philosophy classes.
- Bhagwadgita: A compilation of high knowledge and wisdom shared by Sri Krishna to Arjuna. The Bhangwadgita is one of the most sacred texts in Hinduism. It contains many secrets of life and yoga.
- Ethics for yoga teachers: There will be a discussion on yoga teacher ethics according to the principals in the Patanjali Yoga Sutras, and you will incorporate this principle in you teaching and daily life.
9. Yoga as a business
The business aspects of teaching yoga: As each of you goes out into the world as teachers, it is important to understand the ethics of starting and managing a yoga business based on the Yamas of Patanjali Yog Sutras.
There will be a discussion on different opportunities and ways of teaching yoga, organizing workshops, and teaching or assisting in yoga teacher training programs.
Daily Sample Schedule
Classes on Saturday will be until 13:00.

Instructors
Raj Purwal
In 2017, Rajat received a one-year diploma in yoga and naturopathy. He is from Uttarakhand, and did karma yogic work in the village in his childhood which gave him stability during yoga education. During the Yoga Yatra, Rajat got the opportunity to learn yoga twice under the guidance of Yoga Vidya Guru Swami Ramdev, and in 2019 he took the form of yoga under the guidance of Shri Praveen Guruji and completed his 200-hour YTTC. He graduated yoga from Uttarakhand Open University, and until now, Rajat is still teaching yoga to international students in Rishikesh, Kerala, Bangalore and Nepal.
Vishal Sharma
Vishal has been teaching yoga for many years. He is a teacher in Hatha yoga, Iynger yoga, Yoga Flow, Astanga yoga, Shivananda yoga, as well as meditation and pranayama. He holds a Master's Degree in the Art of Yogic Science from Uttarakhand Sanskrit University.
Vikas Pandey
His father introduced the path of Liberation to Vikas (like chanting verses and mantras) at young age .He started with asanas and sun salutations at the age of 4. He finished his Master in Yoga in 2019 at University of Patanjali, Haridwar. He wanted to continue learning more about Yoga so he completed two YTTC's. Presently he is pursuing his PhD in Yoga Science from Swami Rama Himalayan University. He is doing his PhD on Yoga for stroke rehabilitation. He loves to teach Yoga to genuine seekers and believes that by harnessing your body,mind,energy and emotion you become a Master of your destiny
Samadhi
Samadhi is uniquely inspiring and experienced pranayama, meditation, Yoga Nidra teacher, and therapist. She is a Dr. of Naturopathy from School of Naturopathy Gorakhpur, which includes whole naturopathy treatments with diet and therapeutic yoga. She has done extensive courses from Satyanand yoga (BSY Munger) and SVYASA Bangalore, where she got the perfect practical and theoretical knowledge of asana, pranayama, mudra, and bandha. She also learned yoga Nidra with its therapeutic qualities. Nowadays, Samadhi is giving sessions of pranayama, yoga Nidra, meditation, diet, and counseling.

Rishikesh holds deep cultural and spiritual significance for local Hindus. The sacred rivers and mountains set the scene for yoga and reflective hikes, and it is a world yoga capital. Every year, thousands of people come to Rishikesh to learn yoga and meditation.
There are hundreds of temples and ashrams in Rishikesh, and the school is located a couple of kilometers from Rishikesh away from all the noise and traffic. It is also close to the holy Ganga river.
